How You Can Help...
Volunteer
Refugee resettlement is a great example of the global meeting the local.  Refugees are incredibly strong, tenacious survivors, and while they face many challenges during their resettlement, volunteers can help us help them on their journey!

ANA volunteers help in the following ways:
-Tutors
-Social/Cultural Ambassadors
-Setting up apartments for newly arriving families
-Teach clients how to ride the bus and navigate around Boise
-Fundraising
-Special projects (Job Lab, Orientations, etc.)
-Assist staff in the office

Donate
-We are looking for new or gently used household items and furniture to help refugees get started.  High need items are full and twin sheets, full blankets, bath towels, shower curtains, dinette sets, & chest of drawers
-Backpacks and school supplies for refugee school children
-Hygiene items, cleaning supplies, paper products
-Baby items
-Cash or gift cards are always welcome too!
We are also looking for help from faith communities, groups, and  organizations to assist with transitional housing for our new arrivals. Sponsor a Family
You and your faith community or civic organization or school can sponsor a refugee family.  Sponsorships can rage from a full sponsorship that includes helping the family on many levels in conjunction with the ANA, to more limited sponsorships that target specific areas:  paying for rent, helping to find employment, teaching clients how to drive, etc.
