Thank you for supporting Agency for New Americans with our Spring-Cleaning Donation Drive! We have a lofty goal to fill our storage units this spring and we need your help! We are expecting LARGE numbers of new Americans to arrive over the coming months, and we want to be sure each individual has absolutely everything they need for their resettlement into Boise, ID. Are you willing to purchase a donation bundle to provide a new American with essential items? Or, are you deep cleaning your home this spring and have some gently used furniture to donate? Our Agency is preparing to welcome more than 60 new Americans in the month of March, which will greatly strain our limited donations. We need your help getting our storage units FULL to provide new Americans with essential items! 

How does the donation drive work? 

There are four easy steps to participate in our Spring-Cleaning Donation Drive! 
1. To participate in the donation drive, you will sign up for one of the donation bundles below! First, select which bundle you would like to purchase.
2. After selecting a bundle by clicking the "Select" button, you will be redirected to our Sign-Up Genius to register for the bundle you would like to go out and purchase. You can register for as many bundles as you would like! 
3. Once officially registered, you are responsible for going out to purchase the items in your assigned bundle list. Feel free to use your creativity in purchasing donation bundles in terms of colors, brands, or more! 
4. On Saturday, April 15th, bring your donation bundles to Agency for New Americans between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Our team will be there to greet you, collect the donations, and thank you immensely for your support of new Americans! Unable to bring your donation bundle on April 15th? Visit our Amazon Wishlist to ship some other needed donations our way. 
Below are the different types of donations bundles we need fulfilled. You are welcome to provide more than one of each bundle, or some of each bundle type. You will make your final bundle selections within the Sign-Up Genius, which each bundle button is linked to.

**Please save your purchase receipts to turn in with your donation bundles for us to keep track of in-kind donation totals for this drive.

Bathroom Bundle

Are you doing spring cleaning and have gently used furniture? Or willing to buy a new furniture piece for a client? Here are our BIGGEST furniture needs: 
Kitchen Tables and Chairs, Bunkbeds (used mattresses are not accepted)

This is a "drop it off if you have it!" need, no need to formally sign up! 

Frequently Asked Questions

CAN THE DONATION ITEMS BE USED?
Many used items are able to be donated to our agency, however, they must be GENTLY used and in good clean condition. Please keep in mind that the condition donations are in sends a message to refugees about what we think of them.

The following items CANNOT be donated used, and must be brand new: mattresses, sheets, pillows.
Will I be able to get a donation receipt?
Yes! We will be providing all donors in this donation drive a donation receipt. Please keep track of how much you spend on your items and be prepared to provide a total cost of the items to receive your donation receipt. You will receive a receipt the day that you drop off your donations. 
Will I know which family is getting my donation?
Your donation will be going into our storage unit and is guaranteed to go to a new American family when they arrive to the United States. Though you will not know the specific person receiving your donation, know that it is 100% going to positively impact a new American resettling into Idaho. 
What if I am unable to bring my donations on April 15th?​​
It is most useful for us to receive the donations on Saturday, April 15th, as we will have the hands to help collect, organize, and put away the donations. Of course, if you are unable to bring the donations to the Agency on the 15th, please contact Olivia at owargo@jannus.org to coordinate a time to drop off your donation bundle(s). 
Does the agency need any additional donations? 
The donation bundles are made up of our MOST needed donations right now. All of these items are fairly low in our storage, and we need more in stock for the large numbers of new Americans that we have coming to Idaho. However, please head to our main donations page for a full list of all of our most needed donations at the Agency.
